Motorola and slim technology have almost become as synonyms now, at least in the mobile phone markets around the world. They shook the fashion conscious with their RAZR series, followed by RIZR, KRZR and ROKR series that have really become popular in the market.
One handsets that drew our attention is a simple phone known as Motorola L6, and it has managed to occupy the mass market. It isn't a very high end model, nor it is one of those super sexy handsets, but what is likable about this model is that is an affordable slim phone with a wow factor in it, plus it also has all the technical features that one would like to have in a mobile phone in this range.
But our main concern is about the looks that is one of the important feature of this phone. At the first glance, Motorola L6 looks quite impressive and much expensive than its actual cost. With a metallic finishing and a thin design, Motorola L6 looks good and it becomes all the more desirable after you come to know about its cost. This handset reflects a panorama of 65,000 colours through its TFT screen with scratch resistant glass coating over it.
Coming to its technical specifications, Motorola L6 is a Tri-Band GSM device that can be carried across five continents in a fully workable condition. This device is also equipped with the Bluetooth technology that facilitates wireless data transferring through other Bluetooth compatible devices. The standard web browsing feature is also present in this handset allowing you to keep connected to the world.
Motorola L6 has been installed with a decent VGA resolution camera that clicks the choicest images through this handset. Also, it has other entertainment features like Java MIDP, downloadable games, and so on. Though, the user could feel a dearth of an MP3 player in this device which has become as one of the most important features of this handset. But its exclusion is pretty understandable for a mobile phone of this range.
The memory of Motorola L6 seems puny at only 10 MB in this handset, especially without an external card slot. But it is again justified as this memory is pretty sufficient in accordance with the features of this handset. Thus, Motorola L6 is a good handset in the low mid range that has already made its presence felt in the market with its ever growing clientèle

Motorola blames Sars for Asian dip
Mobile phone network and handset manufacturer Motorola yesterday plunged the communications industry back into gloom as it warned that sales in the Asia Pacific region had been hit by the Sars outbreak.
Shares in technology and telecoms stocks across the world dropped as investors worried that the embryonic recovery in the sector would be killed off by the impact of the flu-like virus on the fast-growing markets of Asia.
Motorola, the world's second largest mobile phone maker, has a leading position in the Chinese market but admitted yesterday that it was coming under increasing assault from local manufacturers. It makes about 14% of its sales in the Chinese market, which mobile phone companies believe is going to play a pivotal role in the development of the industry.
Motorola now expects merely to break even in the second quarter, with sales down about $400m to between $6bn and $6.2bn. Its annual results may also be affected but the company said it would update the market fully in July.
Motorola's main rival, Nokia, the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer, is also expected to warn about the impact of Sars when it releases its trading update this week.
Motorola forecast yesterday that sales of mobile phone handsets would be down by about a fifth in the second quarter compared with the first three months of the year. The decrease is likely to be even more marked in China. Sales in the rest of the world are in line with the company's expectations.
Motorola shares were marked down as much as 6% in trading in New York yesterday.

The Motorola Razr Driver - Oh So Important
When you buy a phone, you expect all of the relevant software or programming to come with it, and for that programming to be easy to use and understand. Failing that, it is reasonable to expect that the customer service center that deals with your questions will be able to help you with your problems in short order. Unfortunately, you don’t necessarily get that with Motorola and the Razr phone.
Motorola joins with many other technology companies to provide virtually no customer support, and yet provides a phone with PC connectivity that requires a special driver to function. This driver is sold with the phone and USB cable to their customers, however should you ever misplace or accidentally destroy this CD, you are completely out of luck for your driver.
If this is the case, Motorola will require that you purchase a new USB cable in order to get the CD for your Motorola Razr driver. This can get very expensive, especially if you are the kind of person who tends to misplace CDs and you happen to need your driver more than once or need it for several different computers (work, home, the laptop, etc.)
To save yourself the money, not to mention the headaches, it is a good idea to look for the driver for download online. Motorola does not offer this download, however you can find it at other places online where customers have uploaded the contents of the CD for others to take. Be careful with these sites – some of them are scam sites that host viruses or spyware of some kind, and others want to charge you for the download.
If you search cautiously and keep your virus scanner on at all times, you can often find valid sites that offer the Motorola Razr Driver for free to existing Motorola Razr users who have lost their drivers or just want a copy and do not have their CDs close to hand. Many of these sites contain disclaimers asking that you do not download the driver if you did not have a copy originally because in that case you are not entitled to the software, and would be stealing.
So far Motorola has made no move to shut down either these legitimate sites, which offer the drivers that you need to use your Motorola Razr phone in conjunction with your computer, or the other sites, which ask for money for the driver or which include malware in your download. As long as this continues, it should be relatively simple to get the Motorola Razr driver that you need online.
It is a bad idea to count on this, though, as Motorola might eventually decide to take action against people who are sharing the driver that essentially belongs to them as a company. To keep from losing your source of downloads if you legitimately have the right to access this driver, it is a good idea to burn a disk and keep it somewhere special as your "emergency key".
By this we mean that you should burn two copies – use one to actually install the driver and make use of it, and reserve the other for when you lose the "use" CD and need an install. Make a new copy, keep your original safe, and you will always have your Motorola Razr driver available for use.
However you go about getting and keeping your Motorola Razr driver, this little bit of software can seriously enhance your use of the phone, making it that much more versatile and convenient to use and allowing you to make full use of all of your phone’s features, including the PC compatibility.

Music in Mobile Phones: Its Advantages
Music in mobile phones is no more a new concept. From Sony Ericsson's Walkman series to the Nokia N-series, be it Motorola RAZR or LG VX 8550 all have and added advantage of being a music player also. Though mobile phones are basically a means of communication, they are becoming more of a multitasking device than only communicating device.
With plenty of advanced features embedded in the mobile phones, these mini gadgets are becoming an indispensable part of our lives day by day. Specially, music lovers are quite happy with the introduction of music capabilities in the mobile phones. Today majority of the newly introduced phones has advanced musical capabilities that support various music formats like ACC, MP3. Also some phones with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies allow music downloading options with the help of which users can download their favourite music, songs of the artists and even video and enjoy the sweet melody while on the go.
The greatest advantage of mobile phones with music is that since both the music player and mobile phone are in a single device, users no longer require to carry two gadgets at a time. Who would like to increase his luggage by carrying another portable music player if he has a phone that gives digital music player like performance!
It is always better to travel light. Another remarkable thing is that, while travelling if you switch on to your Walkman or MP3 player you may not hear your phone ringing and is more likely to miss a call. But, in mobile phones whenever a call comes the music played in it automatically pauses. So, a user does not require to give extra attention to pause the music and then receive the call.
Other than iPods, any general portable music players do not have storage capacities. So, in such cases users have to carry the music CDs also along with the player, which again is quite hectic. But, most of the music mobile phones have enough memory to store sufficient music that a user can hear in a day. Some Nokia mobile phones even have integrated digital music players with a Multimedia Card.
Phones with Visual Radio and FM radio allows various other services, such as giving details about songs played, weather maps, sports results, news alerts and option to participate in competitions, get texts of newscasts and enjoy other features associated with FM radio.
Thus music mobile phones provide entertainment to its users along with mobility.
We at Mobile Phones are offered free latest handsets as a part of contract like 12 Months Free Line Rental Mobile Phones deals with lots of offers and free gifts.

Motorola V3: Ace Fashion Device
It has been quite sometime that MOTORAZR V3 was launched and it has managed to secure its position and capture the niche market. It was perhaps one of the first slim phones incepted by Motorola and it was a runaway success too. And now that it has proved its mettle and inspired others of the concept of beautiful technology, let us try to analyse the pros and cons of this mobile phone in detail.
Motorola V3 is a delicate looking fashionable gadget that is only 13.9 mm thin and looks exquisite in its clamshell design. The exterior of this mobile phone is made up of aluminum that makes it sturdy and light in weight. The cool blue back lighting effect can be seen when the phone is in use. The internal screen of Motorola V3 is176x220 Pixels and its TFT display reflects a panorama of 256,00 colours through it. So outwardly, Motorola V3 is bundled with the most impressive features.
Talking of its technicalities, Motorola V3 works on Quad-Band GSM network that makes it fully functional in all parts of America and all around the world. Furthermore, the features as GPRS and Bluetooth enhance its connectivity features. Though the camera of Motorola V3 is a mere VGA resolution, it gives a decent picture quality in accordance with the camera. There is also the provision of e-mailing and web browsing that could also be done through this handset. The user can listen and view videos with the help of its MPEG4 player.
The Motorola V3 also offers an incredible talk time up to 7 hours and standby time up to 280 hours that adds on to the calling features of this device. However, the paltry 5.5MB internal memory is an area that acts as a major drawback in this device. The manufacturers say that this mobile phone is made as a fashion phone that doesn't require a big memory. So the justification is accepted, but Motorola V3 could have been much more desirable if there would have been an external card slot in it.
Thus Motorola V3 looks like an interesting device that is a combination of both fashion and technology!

Motorola Motofone F3 Review - Returning to Basic Functions
Aesthetically, the Motofone F3 is quite pleasing. It’s remarkably thin for a candy bar phone – just 114mm x 47mm x 9mm in size, with an overall weight of 70 grams. The phone comes in a standard black casing and its alphanumeric controls are large, backlit by white and very easy to see and operate. Features of the keypad include dial and hang up buttons, as well as contacts and menu buttons, all of which surround a five-way navigation panel.
One obvious and somewhat intriguing feature of the phone is the large screen, which uses a black and white electrophoretic display. The intention of this technology is that it is easy to read in a wide range of circumstances, including direct and intense sunlight. The display also utilises an over-sized font which, in conjunction with the large, clear screen makes this phone a good option for users with vision impairments. Rather than messages scrolling downwards over multiple screens, the displayed text on the Motorola Motofone F3 scrolls horizontally. This is an irritating limitation, because it means that even small details like missed calls and phone numbers extend over multiple screens. Since you can only advance at snails pace through the text, reading and writing text is a protracted and painful process.
So what else does this phone have? Well, it’s a GSM phone and since it comes with a pre-paid SIM card included in the box, it’s very suited to users who make irregular, short calls and who would prefer the simplicity of a pre-paid phone. The Motofone F3 does have SMS capabilities but there is no predictive text function.
That is pretty much it for Motorola Motofone F3 features – there’s no camera, Bluetooth, 3G or even games to play. There is a limited range of ring tones, although these are monophonic rather than the newly standard polyphonic tones.
A redeeming feature of the phone is its 450 minutes of talk time and 270 hours of standby time. When not in use, the screen powers down to a very simple time and date display, conserving power. Conserving power is something you should really try to do with the Motorola Motofone F3, because recharge time is fairly slow. You’ll need to plug in this phone overnight to ensure that your batteries have enough zing to even make a call or send an SMS – this is not the sort of phone where a quick top up restores the phone to full functionality.
The simplicity of the Motorola Motofone F3 is both an advantage and a limitation. If you want predictive text, a camera, Bluetooth, videoconferencing and games, you should not consider buying this phone. However, if you want a phone that will serve a limited and emergency function, the Motorola Motofone F3 is a solid, simple and cheap way to meet that need.
The Motorola Motofone F3 is available with free line rental, as well as other popular handsets. http://www.FreeLineRentalMobiles.co.uk is a good option if you are looking to maximize savings with 12 months free line rental deals.

The Motorola W180 is a high-end phone. MotoYuva W180 is primarily targeted at the Indian youth. In times when the generation-now is drooling over camera-clad-music-thumping hi-tech toys MotoYuva intends making a place for itself in the young Indian pockets. It is very easy to use mobile. This is one small and light phone. The Motorola W180 measures in at 4.5 inches by 1.7 inches by a half an inch and weighs only 85 grams. MotoYuva is quite comfortable to hold. It has a large bright color screen and a keypad with same soft keys that seem integrated with skin of the phone. It has an incredibly long battery life. It easily lasts three days without charging and gets charged in a short time too. The speakerphone is loud and clear.
It essentially allows making and receiving calls, text messaging in English and Hindi, and includes FM radio. Also it has a calendar and speaker phone facility. The Motorola W180 is still a low end phone for those on a budget or looking to purchase a phone for use in emergencies only. The device would incorporate an in-built dictionary comprising of around 30,000 Hindi language words that would prompt the user with Hinglish (mix of hindi and English) terms. This dictionary will have words that are commonly used by the modern-day youth of India, making it simpler for them to converse and use in an easier manner. Due to Crystal Talk technology that really helps in hearing the ring and caller’s voice without any discomfort even in a noisy area.
MotoYuva W180 has convenient keys while pressing numbers, but the keypad may not suit fat fingers overall. The Motorola W180 is a low-tech phone, so don't expect too much out of it. It comes with a built in FM radio, a USB connector for charging the phone, a phone book with a 500-name capacity. The vibration function is also available. The mobile is quite light (80g) and the size is also ideal for a comfortable carry in the pocket (114 X 43 X14 mm). The battery life is practically endless and is one of the longest performers currently on the market. The unique feature incorporated on this handset is the dual Hindi-English mode keypads for flawless messaging. Besides, a Hindu calendar replete with data such as festivals, holidays, nakshatras, yoga, karan and ‘tithi’ come built in with the phone.
The MotoYuva W180 has the ability to store up to 500 contacts in the phonebook memory and 750 SMS. Anyhow, ‘Hinglish’ is worth looking at to capture the youth segment. The best feature is the built-in FM radio that really grooves when heard over the speaker. The features of the phone reflect Indian reality. Handset makers are looking at providing various levels of customization to users. Its an appealing phone. It also allows USB v1.1 connectivity (I’m still to test this). The display is good and colorful (128 X128 pixels 65k CSTN). It performed well in the battery, text messaging, and hands free connectivity departments.

Motorola Mobile phones vs LG Mobile phones--Enjoy the difference with pride
The cold war between the two giant manufacturers of mobile phones is still on. The present day mobile market is rocked by these phones due their unique features. Innovative mobile phones are offered by both these companies to meet the increasing demand of high end phones. Nokia and Samsung are facing a fierce battle and each of these companies are trying hard to win the race. The competition among the two companies has resulted in the generation of some of the best mobile phones in the world market.
A lot of emphasis is laid on the design of the handset. From clamshell to flip open to slide phones, all have been tried and experimented by Nokia and Samsung. While Nokia lays more emphasis on handsets with a reasonable size, Samsung stress on producing compact phones. Nokia believes that its handsets should carry the latest features such as high resolution cameras, latest music players and FM radios. It has launched N Series, E Series and W Series with the best of the features installed in these handsets. The Nokia mobile phones of these series are known for their memory that extends from 8 GB to 16 GB. So, there is no limit to storage on these handsets. The users can download files from the internet and store them for future use. These files can be music, video and gaming files. They are used by the users to entertain themselves.
The Samsung Mobile phones, too, are made very alluring due to their design and looks. Their memory too is exalted and can be used to store every kind of file. The users can store entertainment as well as information related files on the Samsung handsets. They bring entertainment in the lives of people. It is very common to find people use the downloaded files to play games, listen to music and even watch videos. The users find it very motiving to use the Samsung phone for entertainment purpose.
In Nokia phones, people can listen to music with the help of their music player and enjoy almost every popular format. There is also the FM radio that can be used to play songs and radio programs. While playing the FM radio, users can also listen to the narratives of the radio jockey. Then there is the camera that can be used for the purpose of photography. It is one feature that attract users the most. It is this reason that compels Nokia and Samsung handset manufactures to incorporate high resolution cameras in their mobiles. 5 MP to 8 MP cameras are found in Samsung and Nokia handsets. And this trend is to continue. If Nokia incorporates 5 MP in a set than Samsung comes up with a 8 MP camera as its competitor. And customers too buy the mobile with the best camera.
Connectivity wise too the Nokia mobile phones are giving a tough competition to Samsung phones. Nokia phones are flooded with connectivity options such as GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB port. The same is the case with Samsung phones with more emphasis being laid on latest options such as 3G and Bluetooth. Technologies such as Wi-Fi, UPnP technology and A2DP are also used for enhancing the connectivity of the phones. Then, there is also the facility of accessing internet with the WAP browser that competently enables the surfing of Internet. The gadgets are also fitted with power-packed batteries, microSD (TransFlash) card slot, secondary cameras and more of such options. The handsets having sleek design can be carried easily.
It is also true that connectivity is never lost on carrying these handsets to distant places. The reason is that they are made GSM enabled. So, at any place of the world, users can remain connected and also avail all services offered by the 2G and 3G networks. Mobile companies like Nokia and Samsung are adapting these technologies on an urgent basis. To win in the competition, both the companies are also offering free gifts with their mobile phones.
